A dark fantasy hack-and-slash-style side scroller in which your only goal is to fight through waves of corrupted enemies while keeping your companion alive. 

You play as an amnesiac knight who's been struck by a curse which keeps him alive. In order to find out what happened, you must cut your way through the backlands of a corrupted kingdom with only a broken sword and the parasite that's  taken over your arm. Fight armies of the infected, meet fellow survivors along the way, and guide yourself and your winged companion through the forest without dying. If you're lucky, you might just find a clue on what happened here. And how you tie back to it.

Dieback is the final project worked on during the second  semester of my sophomore Game Arts program. The game was worked on in collaboration with Jagi Kmiecik. Check out his version of the project here!

This demo currently only features the beginning levels of a hypothetical full game. I would love to continue working on it if given the chance, and your feedback will definitely help in that process!
